Mikele’s name has been at the forefront of every conversation with a new acquaintance for her entire life. She was named after her father, Michael, who took creative license with a new, unique spelling.

Home and community have always played a central role in Mikele’s life. Property adventures, house building, architecture & design have been a huge part of her experience since she was very young.

As a homeowner, she has hands-on experience personally executing , as well as hiring & overseeing contractors for everything from landscaping & fencing, insulation, interior & exterior painting, the replication & replacement of historic windows, all systems updates & a basement remodel. Her attention to detail game is strong.

As a designer, Mikele was fortunate to work with incredible mentors in San Francisco & independently as Mikele Schappell Design, contributing to the design, production and execution of projects for nationally known clients including Williams Sonoma, Restoration Hardware, GAP & Ghirardelli Chocolates.

She has decades of experience with diverse groups of individuals & loves connecting with people, taking a genuine interest in understanding who they are & what’s important to them.
